The Osage County Fair gets cranking today with a full schedule of events as the fairgrounds open to the public. All will be entered today in all classes. If you have livestock, a mandatory livestock exhibitor meeting will be held. After the weight in, the Dog Show is at 2, Style Revue at 5, and Goat and Sheep Show at 6:30. Live stock weight in is at noon. Open exhibit judging starts at 1. Then at 5 the 4-H Clothing Style Revue will be held, followed by the open Goat and Sheep Show. More activities tomorrow, including the Poultry Show at 9 in the morning. Infamous Blue Ribbon Pie Baking Contest at 6:30, Bucket Calf and Dairy Show at 6:30, and the Open Beef Show at 7.
The annual Osage County Chamber of Commerce Fair Parade was held early this year, on July 12th. Grand Marshals were Michelle Martin and Jessica Licktieg, both Secretaries at Osage Elementary School. Mister and Misses Osage City were announced as Larry and Jeannine Colstrom, both longtime residents of the city. The Osage County Fair, all week in Osage City.
