The Ottawa City Commission is listening to several community partners about funding for the upcoming year. Ottawa Main Street Association has asked for a significant funding increase. At last week’s commission meeting, Main Street Board Member Eric Duderstadt told the commission that the increase was important to preserve the Main Street we all know and love.
The increase in funding, among other things, would make Director Sarah Stauffer’s position full time instead of only part time. Final decisions on funding community partners is expected to take place at upcoming meetings as the commission shapes the 2025 budget.
