The Ottawa City Commission will meet this afternoon and one of the items on the agenda is discussion about the annual chlorine flushing program. City Manager Brian Silcott says it’s a yearly activity that inspects the fire hydrants and water system to make sure they are efficient. He says people will notice the city flushing the hydrants over the next couple months:
Other items on the agenda include recommendations by the Neighborhood Revitalization Program Review Committee to add properties to the program, and an update on the status and regulations of the Common Consumption area in Downtown Ottawa. The meeting is at 4:00 this afternoon at City Hall, and will be livestreamed on the City of Ottawa’s facebook page.
