A proposal to build a house at 132 South Mulberry is causing some concern among some members of the Ottawa Planning Commission. The developer is asking for the location to be rezoned from light industrial to low density residential. During the commission meeting Thursday, member Gary Harris said the situation is rather convoluted:

Several planning commission members seemed worried that the rezoning amounted to spot zoning, which generally is avoided as much as possible.
