The Kansas Highway Patrol is encouraging everyone to plan a safe Labor Day Weekend. They say that excessive speed, inattention, and impaired driving are leading causes of traffic crashes. Troopers will be on the roadways enforcing Kansas laws, and available to assist motorists. They offer some tips: always wear your seatbelt every trip, every time. Buckle up and make sure your children are in the appropriately fitted child safety seats. And, always have a sober driver before you drink alcohol away from home or take a sober ride to and from the location if you will be consuming alcohol.
The highway patrol says they will be working to ensure all travelers make it to their destinations safely and reminds you that it is everyone’s responsibility to travel safely, so we encourage everyone to plan ahead for their celebrations.
