A 43-year-old man from Baldwin City was seriously injured in a crash last night, September 2nd. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by the man, was southbound in the 400 block of East 1700 Road around 6:30 yesterday evening, when the driver lost control, entered the northbound lane of traffic, and then crashed into the ditch.
Douglas County Sheriff Deputies state that Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical transported the man to Overland Park Regional Medical Center with injuries that were serious but not believed to be life-threatening. The sheriff’s department is still investigating the cause of the crash and has not released the man’s name as of the time of publication.
