Work on Old 50 Highway continues. When it was built it was the main roadway from Kansas City southward. However, Franklin County Public Works Director Jeff Welton says that has changed quite dramatically:
In the meantime, Welton says the county has started some widening projects on other stretches of the road, particularly on curves that have a history of vehicles leaving the roadway.
