The good weather is allowing progress on Old 50 Highway to speed along. Franklin County Public Works Director Jeff Welton gave his regular update to county commissioners:
Welton says the chip seal repairs are in progress as well. He says the expense of renovating Old 50 Highway cut down greatly on the normal of chip seal work they would normally do this year. Every year the Public Works Department focuses on a different quadrant of the county to upgrade county roads with a chip and seal surface.
