The City of Ottawa’s new common consumption zone will be opening today, September 7th, for the first time at a special event. The Main Street Association is holding “Brews, Beats and Boutiques in Downtown Ottawa this afternoon, and the common consumption zone will be in effect.

A ribbon cutting, celebrating the common consumption zone, will take place at 11:45 this morning in Haley Park. There will be live music all afternoon at the park, along with an incredible array of products at the Maker Market Vendor Popup in the 100 and 200 blocks of Main Street. Activities for the whole family! Remember, this is not a BYOB event. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased from participating businesses and be in a designated event cup.

Brews, Beats and Boutiques in beautiful Downtown Ottawa, today, September 7th, from noon to 5:00.
