If you play disc golf and enjoy the course in Forest Park, you are going to have to find a new course for the next couple weeks. The City of Ottawa has announced that the Forest Park disc golf course will be closed starting Monday, September 9th and remain closed until early October. All this in preparation for the annual Power Of The Past Tractor and Engine Show and the Ol’ Mary River Run Car Show. Parks Department crews will be in the park, starting Monday, and dismantling the disc baskets.
The Power Of The Past Show will be held September 13th through the 15th and a week later, September 20th through the 22nd, the 37th annual Ol’ Mary River Run will be set up in the park. City officials do remind people that the disc golf course in Kanza Park will remain open.
