Everyone has a fear or a phobia…arachnophobia, fear of spiders…coulrophobia, fear of clowns…dentophobia, fear of dentists, pyrophobia, fear of fire…zuigerphobia, fear of vacuum cleaners, hmmm. Then there is para skuh vee day ka-tri-a-phobia, or, tris-ky-deck-a-phobia, fear of Friday the 13th…which just so happens to be today. People fear the worst will happen on this day, but statistically, bad things are likely to happen on any other random day just as much as today. The origin of the fear of 13 and Friday the 13th is disputed, but it has been going on for nearly a thousand years.
