Franklin County Government is running about as lean as they can. That’s the clear message from County Administrator Serek Brown during a special evening budget meeting. Brown says local government is actually shrinking:
The final budget is up slightly with a mill levy of 47.187 mills, less than the published mill levy at 48.664 mills. The new budget does exceed the revenue neutral rate.
