Lake Mary Center i s celebrating the opening of the Kirk Davis Center. The ceremony and ribbon cutting celebrated Davis’ 42 years of service. However, his tenure as Lake Mary President and CEO comes to an end soon. He will retire at the end of the year. Teddi Hernandez will take over the leadership position effective November 1st. Davis says Hernandez will bring an innovative approach to the role of CEO at Lake Mary while at the same time honoring their remarkable history.

The Davis name will live on thanks to the new Kirk Davis Center. The 18,000-square-foot facility features bedrooms for 40 children, along with onsite therapy centers, sensory playroom, computer lab, library, offices, storage and more. It is a state of the art facility. The new Kirk Davis Center joins the existing Craig Center and planned reopening of the Mesa Building to give Lake Mary a capacity to house about 64 children.

Lake Mary was founded more than 50 years ago by the Ursuline Sisters of Paola, who donated the 32-acre campus.
