Trent Lancaster, Class of 1984 will be enshrined on the Ottawa High Wall of Honor tonight, September 26th. In high school, he was a member of the Cytones, National Honor Society, basketball team, band and achieved all league honors as an offensive lineman on the football team. Through student council and 4-H he developed a desire to pursue leadership roles in life. Trent attended Kansas State University and worked his way through college as an on-site animal caretaker for the veterinary research farm. He spent several years as a research assistant for pharmaceutical companies. After graduation, he moved to California to start his vet career in a large multi doctor practice, but got an opportunity to return to Ottawa in 1993, and has been able to pursue his lifelong passion of caring for animals in his hometown.
The wall of honor banquet and ceremony will be held tonight at Ottawa High. Joining Lancaster on the Wall will be Class of 1974, Gary Brockus, and Class of 2001, the late Christopher Wasser.
