A Louisburg man is in jail in Osage County after a traffic stop. Forty-one-year-old Travis Ray, of Louisburg was arrested by Osage County Deputies in connection with methamphetamine possession following the traffic stop on 75 Highway. According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, Ray was arrested following a traffic stop around 3:30 Friday afternoon about 2 miles north of Carbondale on U.S. 75, about a mile south of the Osage-Shawnee County line.
Wells says an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a vehicle for connection with a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, Wells says, illegal narcotics were located. Ray was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail in Lyndon, where he was booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; and having an expired vehicle registration.
