The weather was absolutely perfect for the 11th Annual Garnett Grand Prix Revival this weekend. Organizers say the crowds were big and very enthusiastic and the variety of cars, on track and on display, was simply amazing. President of the Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival, Tracy Medlin is asking those who attended the event to post their thoughts on their facebook page. So far, nothing but great experiences, from those who attended for the first time, to veterans of the event, to a young driver who had his first experience at the track, all giving praise for the event and the City of Garnett for being such a gracious host. One commented that it shows that you don’t need millions of dollars, huge racing organizations and big money venues to hold an event that shows the true passion of the sport…and to keep the history of racing alive at Lake Garnett.

The historic track saw the greatest racers in the Nation, coming to Garnett, every summer in the 1960’s and 70’s for small track racing in some of the finest motor cars ever to grace a race track. Organizers are promising another huge event next year to keep the spirit alive and thriving for years to come.
