October is Domestic Violence Month. During the covid pandemic, cases of domestic violence increased dramatically as people were isolated in their home more and that trend toward violence has continued The issue is receiving special attention from law enforcement and social agencies who deal with domestic violence victims and perpetrators. Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards says the problem is worse than most realize:
