One week from today, the United States will elect a new President to lead the country. A huge election, indeed. But, there are other important seats up for election also. In our area, the Kansas 59th District Representative, United States Representative District 3, State Senator District 3, and the State Board of Education District 4. Early voting is open and County Clerk Janet Paddock says people are turning out in big numbers. As of yesterday morning, October 28th 2,089 voter had come in early.
Late hours this week are tonight and Thursday night until 7:00, and then on Saturday from 9:00 till noon. The last chance to vote early will be Monday morning, November 4th from 8:00 till noon. On Tuesday, election day, the polls will be open from 7:00 in the morning until 7:00 in the evening. Record voter turnout is expected across the country.
