Students and teachers in Ottawa are getting some extra reading instruction. At their meeting, the Ottawa School Board reviewed some test scores that measure how students are learning. Ottawa USD 290, School Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs, says one somewhat weak area is reading:
Cobbs says improving student learning skills is something that can’t be done overnight, but will take years to fully help students to their fullest potential, and there is no time like the present to push reading instruction on the staff and implement what they learn with the students.
