Last month, former USD 421 Lyndon Superintendent, Brad Marcotte, was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and interference with law enforcement, accused of drinking alcohol and then operating a school bus with at least one child on board. He was relieved of his duties by the school board, however, a decision on formal charges has not yet been made in Osage County when it comes to Marcotte. Officials in Lyndon City Hall say there is no paperwork through the City Prosecutor’s Office in Marcotte’s case.
Reports have been turned over to a special prosecutor for further study.
Marcotte has requested a special hearing. USD 421 bBoard Chair, Bryant Derley, says a hearing officer has been assigned to Marcotte’s request and formal processes continue towards a hearing date. Former Baldwin Superintendent, Paul Dorathy, is now serving as the district’s interim superintendent.
