U.s. Senator Jerry Moran has announced that he met his goal of visiting all 105 counties in Kansas in 2024. Moran says that traveling to all 105 counties gave him the opportunity to connect with thousands of Kansans and see first-hand the communities – large and small – that are thriving and those that are working hard to survive. Washington, D. C. is a long way from Kansas, but visiting with Kansans from every corner of the state helps him better understand Kansas priorities and guides his work in the Nation’s capital.

He thanked all the civic clubs, high schools, colleges, local businesses, hospitals, farms, veterans groups and so many more who hosted him for Town Halls and other opportunities to hear and learn from Kansans across the state.

Moran visited Ottawa last week, and presented the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department with $225,000 to buy body scanners and other metal detectors at the jail, and courthouse.
