The Miami County Sheriff’s office is investigating the death of a juvenile in the 22800 block of Lewis Drive. Authorities responded just before 3:00 yesterday morning, December 4th, to the scene in rural Miami County. The original call came in as an unresponsive person, but, the sheriff’s office says once deputies arrived on scene, additional resources were requested to assist with the investigation. Undersheriff Matthew Kelly says tragically, one juvenile was pronounced deceased at the scene and another juvenile was taken into custody.
Investigation into the incident remains ongoing and the Johnson County Crime Unit is assisting in the investigation. The sheriff’s office says no further details are available at this time.
