One of Franklin County’s Cold Case Homicide is featured on a deck of playing cards. The 45-year-old Doris Branson died in her home on March 20th, 1992 from multiple stab wounds. There was nothing missing from the home except her purse. It was discovered three weeks later in a ditch outside of Baldwin City with all of its contents in place. Her killer has never been found. Now, over 30 years later, it is being featured in a new deck of playing cards. The cards include a picture and information about the unsolved case. KBI Directo Tony Mattivi:
The hope is that an inmate will see a card an know something or have heard something about the case. The Branson case is on the 2 of hearts. Other area cases featured on the cards include the Osage County case involving Anna Baldwin who was murdered in 2017, and the December 1996 murder of 15 year old Tawnya Knight from Spring Hill. If you have any information on these cases or any other cold case, please contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
