The Franklin County Sheriff’s office has announced a new program at the jail. They believe that inmates, once released, have a better chance of making it if they have employment waiting for them. Sheriff Jeff Richards spoke to commissioners about the program back in February 2024, saying inmates would submit applications:

Sheriff Jeff Richards says the project was launched by Deputy Tanner Henrickson. They say they are looking for businesses that are open to hiring those with criminal record who are currently incarcerated and help them find employment after they are released. This is a pool of employees that really want to work. If your company is interested in the program contact the sheriff’s office.
