U.S. Senator Jerry Moran delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. The ceremony was held at the Battle of the Bulge Memorial in Bastogne and included WWII veterans from the Battle of the Bulge, members of congress and European leaders. On the morning of December 16th 1944, Nazi Germany launched a massive attack on allied forces seeking to divide the unity of the countries and force surrender:
Senator Moran also attended the 80th Anniversary Ceremony at the Luxembourg American Cemetery where over 5,000 Americans are buried.
Don’t ever forget theses battles that shaped what our Nation is today. Without the brave men and women, many of who paid the ultimate price, we would not have the freedoms that our great Nation has today.
