The power plant to be built at Proximity Park will be powered by natural gas and that could be an important distinction to some people. Ottawa City Attorney, Blaine Finch, says it has no relation to Orion Energy, who has been trying to set up a solar farm.
Lightfield Energy plans to buy all of Proximity Park for about $5 million.
Once constructed, Phase One of the project is expected to employ about 100 people, with Phase Two and Three adding another 100 or more jobs.
