The Franklin County Sheriff’s office and Ottawa Police Department, with two search warrants, lead to three arrests. The first, Wednesday, December 18th, in the 1200 block of K-68 just outside of Pomona. Arrested were Brandon Clary. He was charged with distribution of meth, aggravated endangerment of a child, possession of felony paraphernalia, distribution of a controlled substance using a cell phone, possession of marijuana, and no drug tax stamp. Also arrested, Megan Currant, charged with three counts of aggravated endangerment of a child.+
The other warrant, yesterday, December 20th, unrelated to the first, was in the 300 block of Tyler in Pomona. Arrested was Daniel Jones, charged with three counts of distribution of meth within a thousand feet of a school, felony possession of paraphernalia, distribution of a controlled substance using a cell phone and no drug tax stamp.
During yesterday’s search, due to close proximity to the West Franklin School, officers worked closely with and stayed in communication with school staff and the West Franklin Resource Officer. There was never any threat to the school, but, precautions were taken to prevent any unforeseen events from disrupting the school day.
