The City of Ottawa proposed selling all of Proximity Park, northeast of Ottawa to Lightfield Energy at last week’s City Commission Meeting. As it came as a surprise to many people, the sale wasn’t just a spur of the moment decision. City Attorney Blaine Finch says talks have been going on for several months with several different agencies, and, nothing is final yet:
He adds that the project will change the culture of the community and possibly open a high tech corridor along I-35 from Kansas City to Wichita.
