Winter weather with snow, sleet, ice and wind is expected in our area this weekend. You are encouraged to stay off the roads, but, some people will be out and about on the roadways. Is your vehicle ready for the cold and snow?
Shawn Steward of AAA Kansas says the two main things you need to be aware of are tires and your car’s battery. Make sure your tires are inflated to the proper amount and your battery is strong enough to withstand the cold. He also points out that it might take longer to get to you in an emergency:
You might want to check your battery and tires today, ahead of the storm and be prepared for the winter weather expected in the area tomorrow and Sunday, and drive safely and carefully when the snow does start falling.
