Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has led a coalition of 19 state attorneys general in a letter to the incoming Trump administration asking the president-elect to secure the border and to stop the Biden administration’s immigration policies that caused a historic surge of illegal immigration. Kobach says one of the most important reasons Americans elected President Trump was because they want a secure border and sensible immigration policies. He adds they look forward to the president restoring the rule of law and putting Americans first.
According to the letter, Trump’s policies during his first term resulted in record-low illegal immigration. The Republican AG Coalition looks forward to Trump reinstating the “Remain in Mexico” policy, ending the abuse of immigration parole and stopping federal agencies from granting birthright citizenship.
Republican Attorneys General took the Biden Administration to court to stop some of Biden’s lawless immigration executive orders. They prevailed in many of those lawsuits.
