Former Lyndon Superintendent Bradley Marcotte and the USD 421 Lyndon Board of Education have reached a separation agreement. The parties knowingly and voluntarily agreed to the terms in the separation and release agreement and resolved all issues that have existed and may exist between them. By signing this agreement, Marcotte withdraws his request for a hearing before the USD 421 Board of Education as outlined in his employment contract, voluntarily resigns from employment with the district, effective immediately, and is immediately released from his contract with the district. USD 421 will pay Marcotte a lump sum of $20,000. In exchange for this agreement, the District, Board of Education, board members and administrators forever release Marcotte from any claims of every kind of nature, whether now known or discovered in the future, arising from or relating to his employment with the district or his resignation.

Marcotte was arrested for child endangerment on Oct. 18, 2024, and placed on administrative leave from the district the following Monday. A statement released later stated Marcotte drove a bus with children on it after drinking alcohol. According to Lyndon City Attorney, Patrick Walsh, a special prosecutor did not find sufficient evidence to carry through with the case so no charges were filed against Marcotte.
