The 2025 Kansas Legislative Session begins this afternoon and lawmakers have a huge variety of hot topics they will be tackling this session. Kansas 59th District Representative Rebecca Schmoe says the number one issue they will be focused on this session is property tax relief:
Schmoe says the topic will be the first issue introduced today. She adds that the session will be full of debate on everything from medicaid expansion, medical marijuana, water rights, school funding, and even daylight savings time. The session is schedule to convene at 2:00 this afternoon.
