Many students have already missed school due to snowstorms…….but the Ottawa School District is in good shape. School Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says there’s still some room to go:
Cobbs says other school districts have already used their snow days and will have to make up days toward the end of the school year. While some schools, including Ottawa, missed several days following the recent snow storm, USD 290 always schedules five to ten days more than the number of days required by the State of Kansas. With that extra cushion, the District doesn’t have to worry about make-up days.
