The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce 2024 Annual Awards Banquet was held last night, January 16th, at Ottawa University. A record number of people attended the event. One of the awards presented went to the Entrepreneur of the Year, given to “the Donut Lady” owner of Daylight Donuts, Charity McCain:
Another award, given to Director of United Way of Franklin County, Leigh Hanson, was the Horizon Award:
A live-auction had people bidding on a Bill Snyder autographed football, a Bill Self autographed basketball and many other items. We don’t have an official total, but those in attendance report a large offering for many items.
