The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce 2024 Annual Awards Banquet was held last night, January 16th, at Ottawa University. The most prestigious award given out by the Chamber is the Russel Crites award, dedicated to Russel Crites, who contributed so much to the City of Ottawa in the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. This year’s winner was Executive Director of the Ottawa Library, Terry Chartier, who was emotional in accepting the award:
The event was attended by a record breaking 240 people and raised money for the Chamber with a live auction of items including a ride to school in an Ottawa fire truck or the new police rescue vehicle, box seats to Country Stampede, autographed sports memorabilia, tickets to all shows at the auditorium this year, Chiefs Super Bowl pictures, and more.
