The Ottawa City Commission has approved the purchase of a new derrick truck for the electric department. Assistant Utilities Director, Jeff Oleson described the capabilities of the truck at a recent meeting:
The truck will cost about $359,000. Oleson did reveal that it could take several years before the truck arrives after they get it ordered.
