One topic that is bound to come up in the Kansas Legislative Session this year is the legalization of medical marijuana. The issue is a hot topic among many lawmakers. However, Governor Laura Kelly, in an interview last year, says she is supportive:
Fifty-ninth District Representative, Rebecca Schmoe, says law enforcement is staunchly against it. The issue was presented in the senate last year, but not in the house, but she says it may come through the house this year and some really hard decisions will have to be made regarding the issue.
