A proposed solar farm at 3800 Montana Road is undergoing heavy scrutiny. Franklin County Planning and Zoning Director, Pat Toth says local towns may have a chance to buy extra power.
During the Franklin County Planning Commission Meeting, several people from the packed audience gave their commentary on the project……most of it was against the idea. One concern is that if the thousands of solar panels were to be shattered during a hail storm or other kind of storm, it might adversely affect the water supply.
The Commission will learn more at a Study Session set for February 13th.
