The Annual Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet and Mouse Race will be held Thursday, January 30th, at Troyer’s Prairie Gold in Garnett. A cocktail hour starts at 5:30, followed by dinner, awards presentation, and a silent auction. Nominees for the awards include, for Business of the Year, the Chamber member that demonstrated outstanding business ethics, community support, leadership, friendly service and has been an overall benefit to the community. Nominees include Jammin’ Nutrition, the Kansas Property Place and Parkview Heights.
Volunteer of the year, known as the George Clasen Memorial Service Award is presented to an individual or couple from the area who have shown exemplary service to the community through the Chamber or other local organizations. Nominees include Mike & Helen Norman, Gail Smith, Don & Susan Wettstein , and Cliff & Rhonda Wise.
The Organization of the Year award is presented to a non-profit organization who is active and beneficial to the Garnett Community. Nominees include Friends of the Library, the Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival, and the Optimist Club. Contact the Chamber today for tickets.
