
An Ottawa firefighter has been accepted into a prestigious program. Captain Dustin Donovan will enter the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program. City of Ottawa officials say this is a testament to Donovan’s hard work, dedication and leadership in the fire service. Donavan says the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program will enhance his learnings and ambitions for lifelong learning.
According to the U. S. Fire Administration, the Executive Fire Officer Program is an exclusive program only offered to the best of the best. Participants will learn with fellow fire and emergency medical services officers about leadership and crafting bold and imaginative public policy solutions that keep communities safe and make them resilient.
