The Ottawa City Commission will meet tomorrow after taking a week off to attend the Local Government Day in Topeka last week. One item on the agenda is a proclamation recognizing February as Black History Month.

Other items on the agenda include proclamation recognizing tomorrow as Kansas day, the 164th anniversary of Kansas being admitted to the Union. Also recognition of Police Officer Larabe Alexander as a recipient of the Richard Lamunyon award for his contribution and dedication to the Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. The meeting is at 4:00 at City Hall and will be live streamed on the City of Ottawa facebook page and youtube channel.
