Exciting news for the City of Ottawa and all golfers in the area. The city has received their brand new fleet of golf carts for the Ottawa Golf Course, and they are ready to roll into the season with style. They are leasing 20 carts from M & M Golf Carts. Included in the lease agreement is the option to lease more carts after the first year and to rent more on a daily basis to fill the need during tournaments that may be played at the course.

The City of Ottawa bought the course knowing that it is a huge amenity for attracting people to Ottawa, as well as a big drawing card for future industry. They have hired an experienced golf course superintendent in Drew Murphy and general manager and head golf professional Rob Mylnar. Both say they are looking forward to making improvements to the course that will draw people in from around the region.

The city took over operations of the course on December 31st. Officials say the carts are equipped with all the features golfers need for a smooth, comfortable ride, so, whether you’re there for a casual round or a competitive game, they’ve gotcha covered.
