An update on the plane crash in Washington D.C. where an American Airlines flight from Wichita collided with an Army Blackhawk Helicopter and falling into the Potomac River, killing everyone on board. The National Transportation Safety Board says the cockpit voice and flight data recorder from the jet have been recovered. ABC Aviation Analyst John Nance:

In the final moments of the flight, air traffic control asked the pilot of the plane to land on a different runway. Radio traffic doesn’t reveal if the plane’s pilot saw the helicopter, but, a helicopter pilot can be heard acknowledging the plane. Governor Laura Kelly says the list of people on the plane will be released today, January 31st.
