Franklin County Public Works had an unexpected expenditure on relocating a water line on Texas Road to make room for a bridge project. Public Works Director Jeff Welton says the move will be costly, but necessary:
He does say that the county will start the relocation of the water line as soon as the ground is dried enough to get heavy equipment into the area safely. The county has received one million dollars from the State of Kansas to make improvements to the bridge on Texas Road.
