An area high schooler has won the 12th Annual National Cattlemen’s Association National Anthem contest. Anah Higbie, from Quenemo had the honor of singing the Star Spangled Banner at the Cattle Conference in San Antonio. Annah says she has always wanted to enter the contest:
Anah is a freshman in high school and has been involved in cattle operations with her family, who owns a commercial Simmental cow-calf operation. She enjoys showing cattle and considers being an animal advocate one of the biggest passions in her life.
CattleCon is the oldest and largest convention for the cattle industry. Congratulations Anah!
