In late December, we learned that the City of Ottawa was in the process of selling Proximity Park to Lightfield Energy, who is planning on building a power plant and a data processing storage facility on the property. Franklin County Development Council Director Paul Bean gave an update to County Commissioners:
Lightfield would like to break ground on their project this year and say after the plant opens, it will bring about 100 jobs to the area, plus jobs relating to the construction of the facility. The job total could double as secondary phases pf the project are completed.
