Today is the day that Ottawa aviation icon Chuck LeMaster will be honored by the FAA. He’ll be presented with the coveted Wright Brothers Pilot award for 50 years or more of flying with no accidents. LeMaster got his start in aviation at Conard Airport north of Ottawa. He says he took over the Ottawa airport after the city had issues with the manager:
The ceremony will be held at noon today at the Ottawa Municipal Airport. The public is encouraged to attend.
