We know that first responders have to adjust to all kinds of conditions and situations. Two Spring Hill police officers recently received awards for helping a woman during a medical emergency. Officers Jeremy Johnson and Madyson McGill received lifesaving awards during the Spring Hill City Council meeting recently. According to the Miami County Republic, the Spring Hill Police Department says on February first the officers responded to a medical emergency for a woman who was unresponsive, without a pulse, and not breathing. Officer Johnson was the first to arrive and took an AED inside. Officer McGill arrived moments later.

Together, they completed four cycles of CPR and delivered multiple shocks from the AED before the woman began breathing on her own. EMS personnel and fire department officials arrived and continued care as they transported her to the hospital.

A release from the department states that the next day, Officer Johnson followed up and learned that the woman would make a full recovery.
