The Franklin County Sheriff’s department is investigating two deaths in Williamsburg. Yesterday morning, March 3rd, deputies were dispatched to a residence to check on the welfare of the occupants. Upon arrival, the located two adults deceased in the residence, both of whom lived there. I a media release, Sheriff Jeff Richards says, due to facts and circumstances gathered at this point, they have no reason to believe there is a threat to the general public.
Sheriff’s office investigators worked alongside the Kansas Bureau of Investigations Crime Scene Response Team throughout the day to process the scene.
Richards says as the work concludes, the Sheriff’s office will be the primary investigating agency and detectives will continue their efforts to piece together what happened. Out of an abundance of respect for the family, no further information will be provided.
