Congressman Derek Schmidt of Kansas, reacted to President Trump’s joint address to Congress last night, March 4th, saying it was “a parade of common sense”.
President Trump’s address was the longest joint session speech in the last 60 years, lasting more than 90 minutes. The closest being Bill Clinton’s State of the Union in 2000, which was an hour and 28 minutes long. The timing includes several long pauses for rounds of applause as well as a series of disruptions from Democrats in the audience.
